My name is Jose. I have been involved with music since I was 10 years old, when I first began to play the saxophone. Since then, I have continued studying and improving myself through performance and through my pursuit of an Undergraduate Degree which was successful when I graduated from Hunter College in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance.
Jose A has over 15 years of music experience in the Brooklyn area.
Jose A is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons .Formal Education:
-Brooklyn High School Of The Art: Advanced Regents Diploma-CUNY Hunter College Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance-Piano/Keyboard proficient
Performing Experience:
I have been a part of various ensembles throughout the years 2. CUNY Hunter College Lead and Secondary Saxophone Player Ensemble-Jazz Vocal Workshop Popular Music Combos 2014-Present Saxophone Player/Model for special events 2013-Present Guitarist for a Cover repertoire from Motown Hits to The Beatles to current popular music and various Country and Rock songs.
Experience Teaching:
I have been teaching for 10 years, giving lessons on Guitar, Saxophone, Piano, Ukulele as well as Music Theory. I can teach from the absolute basics of these instruments and move on to more exciting and complex topics that include Music Theory as it pertains to songwriting and understanding song forms, as well as improvising and otherwise having a great time.

I got lessons for my son. My son Matthew is very mellow and Jose was able to pick up on that and match him very well to make him feel at ease. Jose gives us updates on Matthew's progress and is always on top of checking in to confirm for lessons. His personal care is also appreciated. he even got our son a birthday gift!
