I am a professional musician from Charlottesville, Virginia who teaches upright bass, electric bass, songwriting, composition, and music theory. I play and teach a variety of musical styles, including (but not limited to) classical, rock, jazz, ska/reggae, blues, bluegrass, contemporary, celtic, and folk. I've been playing bass for 14 years. I am comfortable teaching students of all levels, including students who would like to learn with sheet music, tabs, or by playing from ear. Most of my experience is outlined below, but I invite you to contact me if you have any questions. Reference
Brian R worked for me coordinating student testing and data analysis at the high school level. There is not a better human being that could help your company than Brian. He is the most warm--yet articulate--student I have met. Brian took 10 college-level high school courses and scored a 5 on all of them (that is the best). He nearly aced the SAT and attended UVA and still followed his passion--music. I only reference his academic prowess as an indicator of his musical ability. Whatever Brian commits himself to--he does exceptional work. Brian will instantly enhance the credibility and effectiveness of your program. If my daughter was 23 years old, I would be ecstatic to have him as a son-in-law. Nick Humbert wrote on Wed, 20 Jan 2016
