I am a professional working drummer who has been playing for decades. I enjoy getting people excited about percussion and drum set. I am a strong teacher and make learning fun. I can teach the basics like rudiments and reading drum notation as well as break favorite songs down and teach students how to play the songs they love.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
We will learn rudiments and proper sticking while also focusing on songs and styles that the student is excited to learn.
Formal Education:
I have been a music student my entire childhood and minored in music in college. I have always played in school bands and have been a working gigging musician for over 20 years.
Private Education:
I have taken individual lessons from local jazz pro's as well as touring drummers when they come to town. I am a practitioner of the Nashville Number System which I use to chart out drum parts for gigs. It is an amazing way to easily break songs down and be able to sight read it at the gig or in rehearsal. Learned that from Jim Reilly of Rascal Flats.
Performing Experience:
I play in Funk, Blues and Rock bands all over the Denver Metro area. I have played in most of the local clubs.
Experience Teaching:
I have trained and taught people in the corporate world quite a bit. I have had a few opportunities to teach young drummers in the past but mostly referrals from friends or family. This would be ideal since the students have come to your organization to look to learn an instrument. I feel very capable of keeping their interest and getting them up to speed in a fun way so they are learning while having a lot of fun.
