About Me
Having started my musical journey at the age of 5 with drum pads and rhythm lessons, I was immediately enamored and hooked on music. We had these little plastic toy guitars featuring the band KISS on them. I would always pick them up and mess around with them, unknowingly fueling my desire to play the guitar.
But before I got to guitar, I learned how to play Trumpet, taking public school lessons and private summer lessons between the age of 8 and playing Trumpet all through High School. This was the instrument I was playing when I participated in NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) every year in New York during my school years. I received outstanding and exceptional scores, which in turn, allowed me to participate in the All State Symphonic Band and the All State Wind Ensemble.
At the age of 13 I started to play and learn the guitar. I played in the Jazz Ensemble at school, and was always writing my own music and learning as much as I could.
Around the age of 16 I started to teach other people how to play guitar. Which, I will admit, helped me to understand the instrument that much better.
Continuing my formal Musical Education, I took Music Theory Classes in High School. I have continued to expand my knowledge on the instrument and on the subject of Music ever since.
I would love the chance to share all of my knowledge with any one who is looking to enhance and progress their playing ability, and their understanding of music.
I custom tailor my lessons to each student, because no two people learn in the exact same way. I am looking forward, with great anticipation and excitement to teaching you everything I know about the Guitar. Including some tips and tricks that will most definitely shed a light on some of the trickier topics found in music theory and guitar.
