My name is Brandon; I d like to offer my services as your instructor. As a guitarist and music teacher, I ve been playing for eleven years and have spent over 400 hours teaching guitar. The lessons would be in-person at the University of New Mexico. As a teacher, I try to gauge what aspects of the guitar are most interesting to the individual student, and use those interests as a starting point. This encourages the students to interact with the instrument on a level that is most enjoyable for them.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Beginners: We start with the building blocks & basics of playing guitar; playing simple songs but finding a way to make it interesting for each student. Intermediate: Most intermediate students I encounter are in a "rut" with their playing, with these lessons they'll be introduced to concepts that can expand their guitar playing and musical world. Advanced: It's more of a collaborative effort where we attempt to hone in on the specifics of what the player wants to learn.

As a professional musician and music instructor myself for the past 14 years, I know what it takes to become the caliber of musician Brandon has become. Brandon has a pure dedication to his craft and relentless discipline which comes from his love of music and the guitar. Beyond his talent and dedication to his own craft, he is an extremely thoughtful and conscientious person which makes him a naturally excellent teacher. His relaxed and light-hearted nature set people at ease, while his insightfulness and humor are extremely engaging. His musical knowledge is vast and he is an expert in several genres including classical, jazz, and metal, as well as an accomplished composer.
