I was born in Michigan, grew up in Honolulu, HI and have also lived in Seattle, and the S.F. Bay Area.
Stephen M.- has over 25 years of music experience in the Seattle area.

I have a B.A. in American Studies from the University of Hawaii & an M.ed in Secondary Social studies/teaching certification from Hawaii Pacific University. I also have a HI State secondary education teaching license.
Private Education:
I have taught private lessons for both guitar and bass.
Performing Experience:
I have performed in both original and cover bands as well as a solo singer/songwriter for the past 25 years, almost exclusively in Hawaii. I have played in small clubs, cafes, restaurants, Hotels, bars, private events, and Business conventions in Honolulu, Maui, and the Island of Hawaii.
Experience Teaching:
I have taught 6th-8th grade, 4th grade bicycle education, K- 4th grade music, worked as a full time substitute educator, and work before and after school care for several non-profits.

It is a distinct honor and a privilege to recommend Mr. Stephen for a position as a private music instructor with Taylor Robinson Music. Stephen is a graduate of the HPU Master of Education in Secondary Education degree program. Simply stated, Stephen epitomizes the image of a professional educator. During the Spring 2009 semester, I was Stephen's professor for ED 6000, The Professional Educator Course, and again during the Summer 2009 term, for the ED 6200, The Scholarly Teacher, course. Not only was he a conscientious and serious student who constantly strived to achieve excellence in his academic pursuits, but he is also a skilled writer. In addition, Stephen contributed actively and thoughtfully to our scholarly discussions.
