Marisol I

Marisol began her piano studies at an early age at the Rudolf Steiner School in Santiago, Chile. Soon after, she showed such a great passion and natural aptitude for the instrument, that she advanced to the conservatory of music in Viña del Mar and Valparaiso, Chile. It was there that she started making a career for herself performing numerous times as a soloist, as well as in various ensembles.

After moving to the US, she won several recognitions and awards for her musical talent and scholarship, both at Broward College, and at Florida International University, where she graduated with Magna Cum Laude distinction in Piano Performance under the guidance of the well renowned pianist, Kemal Gekic.

Accomplished not only as a pianist, her vast experience and expertise as a piano pedagogue has led her to win the respect and appreciation from students, parents, and colleagues. Since first starting to teach in the year 2000, Marisol has researched and experimented with various techniques and teaching methods such as the Snell approach, and the Taubman Technique, for which she participated several times in the Golandsky Institute Symposiums at Princeton University, NJ under the instruction of the great pedagogue, Giselle Brodsky.

Marisol currently has a following of students at the University Center for the Performing Arts in Davie, as well as in her own private studio in Miami. As a fundamental key to her success, she attributes the accumulation of years of knowledge, experience, and passion in building pianists for the following generations.
