I have been involved in music since my early teenage years and have been teaching drums and percussion for many years. I love to teach drums and percussion to all age groups. The satisfaction that comes out of working from a foundation of music and building that up to understanding and incorporating that foundation into your instrument, is extremely gratifying.

What can you expect out of taking lessons from me? Well, the first thing you should know is that I care a great deal about my students and the accomplishments and achievements they get out of taking lessons from me. I especially love to see a look on a students face when they are struggling to understand what you are teaching them but with persistence and determination, they keep trying and practicing. When it all comes together and they start to understand, what a great feeling for the student and me. The feeling that WOW! I can do this. I LOVE THAT. I encourage practice and I incorporate fun into my teaching style.

I am patient and I understand that no matter the person or their age, everyone learns at a different pace. I try and teach with the same format and foundation but sometimes things need to be changed up due to a student’s particular need. I practice the martial art, Tae Kwon Do and also help instruct classes. There are different age groups in Tae Kwon Do as well, so I know what it takes to have discipline and to teach it. It requires a lot of patience but so does teaching music.

I taught at a music school in South Florida for ages 5 and up, individual lessons and in group settings (bands). I had a student log of 30-40 students a week and also taught group bands three times a week. I also taught lessons privately outside of the school. I have recorded an album at Full Sail in Winter Park Florida with a producer who worked with bands like Bon Jovi, Poison, and Kiss.
