I worked as a staff arranger at the Marty Robbins Recording Studio, Nashville 1980-83. My job was to develop clients musically. As a teacher my job is much the same--to help you develop into a well rounded musician so you can reach your musical goals. I believe if you learn how to practice, you'll learn how to play your instrument. I've used my knowledge of music theory to write professional string and horn arrangements and even a song that won an international contest. I want my students to know music theory as well as their instrument. Now Semi-retired, I play professionally with a violinist about four times a month.
Degree and Field of Study:
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
My students can expect to learn how to make the music that inspired them to want to learn music in the first place. Lesson material will be geared towards the student's liking as well as the student's musical development. Expect to learn helpful practice techniques. Students can expect individual goals will be set and we will work towards them. Expect me to do everything to maintain your enthusiasm for music. Older beginners are especially welcome.

Art D.
Though I have not worked with Art in a teaching setting, he and his musical partner have performed at our community here at Sunrise of Alexandria on a couple of occasions. He has been nothing but kind to our residents. He is very personable. He is prompt when corresponding with me when scheduling and invoicing. He just gives off this genuine vibe that he cares for people and loves what he does. Kara Whipple wrote on Wed, 24 Feb 2016
