Ronette H.

When Ronette was younger, she was a part of the Columbus Children’s Choir in 2001. Thereafter, she attended Fort Hayes High School and Vocational Career Center in which she received her diploma and certificate. While attending Fort Hayes, Ronette was invited to perform at Columbus Ohio’s big Independence Day celebration (Red, White, & Boom), where she performed her original music. Her first year of performing her original music was so successful that she was invited back two years in a roll before graduating. After which, she moved to Nashville TN to obtain her B.S. in Music Education at Fisk University. She graduated from Fisk University with honors in 2008 and received a medal from the renowned Fisk Jubilee Singers to recognize her four years as a soprano with the group. She is currently attending the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. She holds a 3.6 gpa., which she is working towards obtaining her master’s in Music Therapy. Ronette has performed as a solo artist in varying functions, which includes: • Featured soloist with Fort Hayes’ Metropolitan Singers in Vienne, Austria, 2006 • Soloist at the Obama Campaign in Cols., OH, 2007 • Performed at the Red, White, and Boom with her band “N’Love” by request, Cols., OH, 2008, 2009 • Member of the Fisk Jubliee Singers, Nashville, TN, 2008, 2009 • Director at the Fisk Memorial Chapel, Nashville, TN, 2008, 2009 • Wrote a Black History Anthem for the Nashville Stars Program, Nashville, TN, 2008 • Choir Director at Lawrence Seventh Day-Adventist Church, Lawrence, KS, 2012-present •2 European tour in the Golden Voices Gospel Ensemble, as lead soprano in 2010, and 2014 • Praise leader at Eudora United Methodist Church, Eudora, KS, 2014 • Praise leader & lead guitarist at Shawnee Community Christian Church, Shawnee, KS, 2015-present
