I have been a musician my entire life, beginning my musical path at age 6 with violin lessons. I hold a performance degree in Applied Violin (B.A) from Univ. of S. Florida. I was a full time member of the Florida Orchestra (Tampa, FL), The Mantovanni Strings Orchestra, The Naples-Marco Philharmonic and have performed in many string quartets as both Violinist and Violist.I have also performed as a member of the AFM Union for stars such as Frank Sinatra, Vic Damone, Marilyn McCoo, The Four Freshmen, Frankie Valle and The Four Seasons and many other Vegas-style acts.
In 1980, I began to play guitar and during the early 80's had the opportunity to play and tour with some well known acts. I have perfromed on stage with David Alan Coe, The Marshall Tucker Band, Bertie Higgins to name a few. I now I currently perform over 150 shows per year as the lead vocalist and lead guitarist/violinist for the local Houston rock band "The Convertibles". We are a contemporary cover band.
With all my varied experience, I feel qualified to instruct students in Violin, Viola, Guitar and Bass Guitar. I can read notation and tab, and can instruct up and coming guitarists on the usage of their equipment such as amplifiers, effect pedals, etc.
