Hello my name is Elliott and music is a very huge part of my life. I have been in band since third grade playing the B flat, bass and alto clarinet. I am also self taught on the guitar, mandolin, ukulele, harp, piano, drums and various other percussion instruments. Being a well-rounded musician is very important because learning one instrument well will make learning other instruments easy and fun. I am now offering guitar and piano/keyboard lessons for beginners, no guitar, piano or experience required. I was previously a preschool teacher aide in Naperville who is now looking to pass on my 20 years of music and teaching experience to anyone who is wanting to learn how to play guitar, bass or piano/keyboards. Learn how to read music and learn your favorite songs to impress family and friends. Lessons can be done at your own home or at mine. All ages welcome, I work very well with children because of my preK-12 teaching experience.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner -
Your fingers will really hurt, but practice at home and rigorous training is essential to master the guitar.
Formal Education:
I attended Eastern Illinois University from August, 2008 until December, 2012 and received a B.S. in Geography/Environmental Sciences. I was also in many education courses as well as practicum throughout college as initially I was pursuing a teaching degree.
Private Education:
Over the years I have received multiple lessons from various instructors but the best lessons I have ever had were in high school band class from Dan V.
Performing Experience:
I have performed live before, various times and occasionally play drums and sing with the Joliet based band Heart of Hearing. I also won the annual Mr. Pomcat competition in high school.
Experience Teaching:
I have much experience from Eastern Illinois University, as well as from substituting all grade levels and being a teacher assistant teaching all subjects, including music (which was always my favorite.
