Bradyn W.
Drum Lessons
Home
8 Years
I am 22 years old, and have been playing drums since I was 14. I am from Odessa, TX, and I have played in several church groups as well as other bands from the West Texas area. I have recently relocated to Denton to try and make music a larger part of my life. I love learning all styles of music, and I love the reward of sharing that knowledge with others.
Bradyn W. has over 8 years of music experience in the Denton area.
Bradyn W. is proficient in and teaches Drum Lessons .Formal Education:
I do not have any formal music education other than a few years spent in band during middle school. However, I can confidently say that the knowledge I have acquired through my years of practice and personal studying are sufficient enough to explain the concepts I'm teaching as thoroughly as possible so the student can grasp them easily.
Private Education:
Studied with Richie Puga (Head of OHS and OC Jazz band drum sections) Studied with Nate Smith
(Berklee School of Music Graduate)
Performing Experience:
I have been playing on stage for a total of 8 years. (Granted, the first few years were not something I'm very proud of). I decided to learn everything I could about the instrument and how to play things correctly with proper technique. As my skills improved, I started performing with more and more groups, and getting into different musical scenarios. I still try to learn something new everyday, as I believe it makes each performance better than the last!
Experience Teaching:
I have taught several young students (ages 7-14) who were just beginning on the instrument. Most of them were children of family friends, or people that had asked me about lessons after a gig. I can't say that I have a particular teaching philosophy, but I can say that I give each student everything I can to make sure they enjoy each lesson and take something away from it. I know what it is like to have an instructor who takes all the fun out of learning an instrument, and I believe it is possible to still have fun and learn solid technique at the same time!
