Review About Me
I have been a teacher for 30 years, owning my own studio at one time. I prefer beginning students and elementary age. My degree is in Piano Performance and I earned my NCTM through MTNA when I was teaching piano full-time. I teach both by ear and note reading focusing on theory and technique along with the lesson book. I encourage the use of multiple supplemental books to keep the student interested and to reinforce learning.

Private Education:
I began playing the piano at the age of 4 and took lessons up until and through my 5 years of college.
Performing Experience:
I had a piano recital for my freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years of college. I have played the piano in church since childhood and have been a church pianist in junior and senior high and at various times in my adult years. I have also been a choir accompanist for metro high schools and junior highs as well as playing the piano for my current teaching jobs in schools.
Experience Teaching:
I began teaching piano in high school and then continued in college as my major included piano pedagogy. I owned my own studio for 10 years and have always have piano students over a 30+ year span.
