Charles Mo

Chuck began drumming in his youth, taking private lessons throughout his middle and high school years while learning the ropes in many jazz bands, show choirs, and marching.  He joined drum corps, developing a rudimentary style of playing and realizing throughout the summers that there is an accessible part of music that requires less thought and more mind preparation. After moving through physics, math and the computer science program at Purdue University, he found a scholarship in the music program at Indiana University and moved toward world music, becoming inspired by the melodies of Africa and Brazil and subsequently butting heads with the Dean! It was at this time when he met and joined Lotus, a band that has since, by garnering legions of devoted fans and headlining the biggest music festivals in the U.S., developed into a touring giant and taken the modern live music circuit by storm selling out venues across the states. He is excited to share his unique approach to rhythm and dance, hoping you will find these beats a success for yourself.
