Eric H

Eric is a native of Western WA.  After attending grade school, he went straight onto college to pursue a Bachelors in Instrumental Music Education at the Lionel Hampton School of Music at the University of Idaho, where he studied with some of the greatest minds that the Northwest has to offer, like Dr. Vanessa Sielert and Daniel Bukvich. To date, Eric has been playing saxophone for 16 years.  In his time in Idaho, Eric played in numerous groups like the jazz and symphonic ensembles, and choirs as well as his work with solo repertoire.  Aside from the performance ensembles, he spent years learning the essentials such as music theory, history and ear training. As a member of the NEA and NAfME, he continues to teach and perform in Washington.  Eric is a member of the Kitsap Saxophone Quartet, which plays locally at events year-round.  Each year, he travels to Juneau, Alaska to perform at the annual Saxophone Showcase - a classical saxophone recital with his original saxophone quartet, the Aurora Saxophone Quartet, as well as solo works.  It's a project he and his college friends built from the ground up and still happens to this day. Eric plans on moving to Arizona to continue to build on his education background and attend grad school with his girlfriend.
