I am From the Northwest (Oregon). Electrical Engineer by trade. Started playing guitar as a young teen. Pawned my trumpet for my first guitar. Three kids. Taught them how to play. I enjoy playing guitar and bass on a daily basis. I would enjoy teaching you how to play the guitar! I have been playing and teaching acoustic and electric guitar for 25 years as well as teaching beginners. I played professionally in several working rock bands. My method is to really listen to your wants and goals and tailor our time around that. The first several lessons are designed to lay a good foundation. Please check out the videos I have posted. The first one is a "sneak peek" of lesson #1. Full of great info and a introduction to my method.
John M has over 30 years of music experience in the Tempe area.
John M is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons .Formal Education:
Electronic Engineering degree. College level music Theory and music History as well as advanced guitar lessons.
Private Education:
Advanced guitar lessons many years ago. IC manufacturing classes, Vender classes, Financial education: Series 7 and 63. CPO Pool technician certification. EPA, HVAC.
Performing Experience:
Played professionally for 15 years or so. Several working rock and blues based bands. Played guitar, lead guitar as well as bass. Been playing for over 30 years.
Experience Teaching:
Teaching for 25 years off and on. All private lessons. kids and adults. Everything from open chord christian music to heavy metal lead. I am very patient and no what it takes to keep students happy and excited. My love for music and teaching others it what drives me. I love helping students get to that next level. Weather your playing for fun or playing in a working band.
