Review About Me
I have been playing guitar for 19 years and have performed in rock bands for almost as long. My main influences are bands like Led Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age, Rage Against the Machine, The Doors, and Sonic Youth but I am also very interested in music from around the world. From Brazil to Nigeria to Japan I believe all genres have something to teach us about music.

I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and later earned a Master of Arts in history from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Soon after that I became certified to teach high school social studies which has given me educational strategies that can be applied to music as well.
Performing Experience:
My current band, Living Room Lava, is an alternative/indie rock band that has played at many venues in St. Louis including, Blueberry Hill, Pop's and Ciceros. We have been featured in the KDHX Artist Spotlight and have self-released a record of original songs that is available on iTunes, Amazon and many other outlets.
Experience Teaching:
I have worked as a substitute teacher for four years and am fully certified to teach high school social studies. This past year I was entrusted with a long-term assignment teaching AP Comparative Politics at Parkway Central High School. This required me to take on the whole range of the teacher's duties for over 2 months.
