Julia is an infectious artist with an edgy touch that performs with conviction and raw emotion that will captivate your soul. Her vocals and songwriting have a unique and distinct style filled with passion that brings magic to the story. She delivers her songs with a genuine honesty that speaks and connects with her audience. Her music is filled with melodic hooks and catchy lyric, blending humor and fun with heartfelt emotion. Julia has been working on her new album titled "Talking Crazy" with 18 time Grammy winning producer James Sanger of Vibey Studios out in France. As a producer and programmer, James is credited with over 60 million record sales worldwide. His work has also won 3 Brit awards, 18 Grammys and 2 Ivor Novello awards. Julia's first single "Shallow Heart" from her upcoming album will be released by the end of this 2015. Julia won the Best Song Of The Month for Songwriter Universe in October of 2014 for her song "All Tied Up" that she recorded with American Composer, Christopher Tyng (Futurama, The O.C., Suits,etc.) for his Grow Music Project. Julia was born and raised in the South Suburbs of Chicago.Her father, Phil a member of the 70"s band Heartsfield (Columbia/Mercury) was a guitarist and songwriter,and by the age of 13, she was following in his footsteps as a prolific songwriter and performer. There are no limits to her scope of ideas, she wraps them into masterful lyrics with candid honesty. She has opened for the renowned band Kansas at a benefit in the Midwest with David Ragsdale (strings/guitarist) sharing the stage with Julia. She has also opened for Michelle Branch, Jessee Colter Sophie B. Hawkins and Michelle Shocked. She has been a featured artist on XROCK RADIO, 103.9 "Women Who Rock."Other radio performances include KWSS 106.7 featuring her song "Vampire", RadioPhoenix.org and AZMusicCafe. Julia received an award at the Malibu Music Awards honoring Glen Campbell. Winning performances include performing for a panel of industry judges at Stubbs Barbeque in Austin,Texas,Tucson Folk Festival which featured headliner Chris Hillman, Phoenix film festival and Cave Creek film and Arts Festival.She also played the benefit, Harmonies for Haiti at the House of Blues,Hollywood.Julia has played clubs in Chicago, Indiana, Phoenix and California and has been a semi-finalist in the "Uk Songwriting Contest" three times. Julia's band "Juice" drew the attention of the LA crowd, quickly becoming the house band at the famous Rainbow Room in March, 2011

Julia
I've known Julia since she was 16 years old. I am a member of the board of directors with Arizona Chicks With Picks and she had just come to town from Chicago and she stepped up on the stage and blew us all away. Now, eight years later, she continues to amaze me as she has matured into a remarkable singer/songwriter and human being. I've always thought that her greatest strength as a songwriter is her ability to transport people into her story and make a person relate, you always visualize a Julia song while she's singing it. Her songs are rhythmically textured and she uses her different voices to layer context and meaning to what she is saying. As for her character I can't gush enough. She is a unique individual that is hard to put into a box. She is smart, funny, charismatic, and just a kind hearted human being. I look forward to seeing her knowing that I will always part ways with her having learned something. Her attitude towards life is to always look on the bright side and make the most out of any situation and it is a quality that permeates to other people in her life. I am a studio owner and a producer / engineer who has worked with Julia for some time now. From my experience, Julia has been prompt and always prepared for the sessions of the day. We are tracking her original music, which she has obviously spent a lot of time perfecting. It is well written and well arranged. Julia understands songwriting as an art and is able to express, lyrically the story and keep an impressive form for the song. We normally use top session musicians and they are comfortable with her direction and instructions for the tunes. Julia plays acoustic and electric guitars in our studio and is always well rehearsed and prepared. She can adapt to changes in arrangements and tempo easily.
