Earnest is a native of Danville, Virginia received his musical training from Virginia State University (VSU). Since 2003 he has served on the VSU staff as percussion instructor. Elisha has extensive marching percussion experience and is highly respected throughout the percussion community. He has composed and arranged for not only the Virginia State University Drumline but also local area high school drumlines. Earnest has an extensive background in hand drum and world percussion, earning him positions to travel internationally to perform with various groups such as the world Virginia State University Gospel Chorale. While currently instructing at VSU Elisha is charge of leading drum circles at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children. He also currently performs as a percussionist in churches and various local R&B and jazz ensembles in the area as well has been featured on various local artists musical productions. He is an endorsed educator artist for Salyers Percussion. Earnest is the owner of GO-Percussion your one stop shop for all your percussive needs coming soon in 2019.
