Andrew was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a great place for music and a young person wanting to be a musician. He was raised by a single mom with his older brother. Even as a young man he knew being a musician was the only thing that would make him happy. One of his earliest memories as a child is one of him listening to eighties pop music. After a period of self reflection and growing up, Andrew decided to move to Dallas to live his dream and give it a shot. Andy began to write songs and go to auditions. When he finally found a home in a band, he realized that his acoustic guitar wasn’t going to cut it and went out and bought his first electric guitar and Amp. He also decided that he should figure out how to record himself so he bought some software and an interface for his computer so that he could record and store all of his musical ideas. He quit his job and moved in with his new band and began work in the studio writing his debut album. He got lucky that his first band was a group of veterans. His first and only band, Fictional Freedom, immediately tagged him with the nickname of Cherry due to the fact that he was the only member of the group to have never have played a real rock concert. But like the eighties musicians that Cherry loved as child, he too would have his moment on stage. After ten grueling months in studio, Cherry was ready to hit the road as a professional musician and played his first rock concert in October of 2010. Andy is now set to tour and promote his new band and see where his life as a musician takes him. “I feel like the only time I can connect to any real emotion is when I’m playing music.” - Cherry M.
