Sabine is a Stockholm-born, Toronto-based guitarist, composer, and singer-songwriter. She began playing guitar at age 7 and wrote her first song at age 8. Self taught, she grew up playing in church and jamming with friends until at the age of 17 she decided to pursue an education in jazz guitar and composition. While Sabine appreciates her formal training, she realizes that some of her greatest lessons in music have come from her experiences on the bandstand, in the studio and on tour. Sabine has been active in the music world from many perspectives including that of an educator, studio guitarist/vocalist, live performer and composer. When not working with her own band, she's been fortunate to share the stage as a sidewoman for musicians such as Kellylee Evans. As a teacher, Sabine is very patient and easygoing, and enjoys focusing on the practical side of playing music. She believes that the best way for a student to learn music is to focus on the music they are already passionate about and naturally drawn to.
