Spencer is a composer, pianist, and educator in Youngstown Ohio. Spencer grew up playing the piano and improvising on the piano. The interest he had in music culminated with a M.M. from Youngstown State University and a B.M. from Youngstown State University. Spencer has composed music for piano, voice, brass, and strings. He has performed with groups such as the Youngstown Symphony, Warren Philharmonic, Redline Entertainment, the Ovation Band, and more.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students should expect my very best from them every lesson. Parental Involvement, Student Practice, Completion of Assignments, Positive Attitude, and an Open Mind are all necessities in my studio. Remember, with deliberate and consistent effort, progress is inevitable.
Formal Education:
M.M. from Youngstown State University and a B.M. from Youngstown State University.
Private Education:
I am a firm believer that one is never done learning. Beyond reading and practicing piano, I am a member of multiple online teacher forums where I regularly participate.
Performing Experience:
Spencer has also performed considerably. He is well versed in both the classical realm and the jazz sphere. He has performed with the Youngstown State University Symphony, Youngstown State University Wind Ensemble, Youngstown Symphony, and Warren Philharmonic. In addition to playing with these ensembles, Spencer has been a part of Redline Entertainment as a keyboardist where he has played jazz and pop tunes.
Experience Teaching:
As an educator, Spencer has taught both theory and piano classes at Youngstown State University. His responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant at Youngstown State University included teaching class keyboard classes, teaching minor and major level piano students, teaching theory, and tutoring theory. Since then, Spencer has been an adjunct faculty professor at Youngstown State University where he has taught class piano courses. He has also taught string orchestra in a charter school for grades 3rd-8th. Spencer teaches private piano, theory, and composition lessons in the Youngstown area. Currently, Spencer keeps busy as an Orchestra Teacher, Church Organist, Performer, and Piano Teacher of 20+ students.
