Born in New York City, I started playing drums when I moved to Miami, Florida at age 10. My professional career started in 1980 in the South Florida club scene and has continued to the present time. In the early 80s, I played with Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose (Too Late to Turn Back Now; Treat Her Like a Lady), with Jimmy Bohorne (Dance Across The Floor), and later with The Drifters and Sister Sledge. In 1988, I found myself on a bigger stage with Expose, while Seasons Change topped the Billboard charts at #1. I then toured with K.C. and The Sunshine Band in the early 90s. I am an experienced studio musician as well. During my career, I've played throughout the United States, in Asia, Africa, Europe, Scandinavia, and the Caribbean. From 1999 to 2011, I settled down in a comfortable house gig. I am currently playing with a ladies of the 70s tribute band and freelancing in the South Florida club and corporate scene.

Beginner - Intermediate
I'm teaching the fundamentals and the importance of knowing how to count, note value, understanding the role drummers play in a band, and the benefits of learning to play various styles of music. My method is designed to put the students on a path to become successful musicians.

Experience Teaching:
Since 1997 to the present I've been teaching when my schedule permitted. I am offering drum lessons to beginning and intermediate level students, teaching the fundamentals, the importance of knowing how to count, note value, understanding the role drummers play in a band, and the benefits of learning to play various styles of music. My method is designed to put them on a path to become successful musicians. I offer lessons in my home (Miami Gardens, just east of Hard Rock Stadium) in a safe, comfortable environment, with complete drum sets for student and teacher.

Efrain X
Efrain is a highly experienced excellent professional drummer. He has toured and recorded with national Acts including KC and the Sunshine Band and was the drummer for Expose' during the time that they had the number one hit in the US. We have worked together in a professional capacity for a number of years performing at venues around South Florida. He is a team player, reliable, with a great, friendly personality. Efrain is a people person. Efrain has been a drum teacher for the last 20 years or so.
