My name is Leah and I am a flutist/ teacher from Southern California. I earned my Bachelor's of Music in flute performance from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2016. I have been playing the flute for over 10 years, and in that time I have performed all over the world including New Zealand, Australia, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Not only does music foster a sense of community, it allows us to express ourselves in a way that words can't. Teaching is a huge passion of mine, and I love being able to share this art with others.

I write in support of Leah H. for a position as music instructor. Leah is an intelligent, creative, and motivated individual. She is a ravishing flutist and plays with a lovely musical line. She graduated from UT Austin last spring and was a leader in the studio. She took the lead on organizing a studio benefit concert for The Initiative to Educate Afghan Women (which raised over $12,000) and offered her musical and administrative gifts on many other occasions.
