I began playing drums in my first band right out of high school. We played all the popular music of the day CCR, Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Doobie Bros. In college I played in bands with different styles, Rock, Pop, and Soul for fraternity parties and bars. Country in the local honkytonks and of course disco in the dance clubs. After college I hit the road with a top 40 band playing cities in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona for about two years. Following a trip to Europe I moved to L.A. to continue my music career. I performed in original rock and new wave bands. I spent many hours in the recording studio, and got to play in some of Hollywood’s most famous venues like the Whiskey, the Troubadour, and the Roxy Theater. I returned to Texas about 15 years ago and have been playing part-time in Blues, Rock and Country bands ever since.

Helicopter Pilot Training, Watson Helicopters, Pacoima Ca.1986-1990. Earned Private, Commercial, and Flight Instructor pilot certificates. Dick Grove Music School 1983, took drum set workshop and jazz improvisational classes. Private drum lessons with local instructor 1982-1986
Performing Experience:
Except for large arena shows, I've in played in just about every situation you can imagine. I've done parties, piano bars, corporate shindigs and outdoor concerts.
Experience Teaching:
Although I've never taught music, I have taught many people to fly. Like music lessons flight instruction is done one on one. Developing trust and open communication between student and instructor is essential. I believe the " Building Block" method works best. Start with the basics and go from there. It's up to the teacher to create a positive learning environment and to help make it fun!
