What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
I use classically baaed training through a variety of programs. I evaluate my student. Students ahould exoect to be comfortably challenged. I will pace thw lessons according to the progress of the student. Recitals are held every year at the end of the school year.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
I start out by evaluating my student. I want to know how eager they are to learn and what they want to get out of it. I want to know if there are certain songs they like that they want to learn. Understandably along the journey there will be music theory, understanding notes and chords and introduction to ear training. We will work on learning the guitar string by string, we will learn finger strengthening exercises and chord progression. Simple songs are great for learning this technique, and I will use old folk music and Americana music. I prefer to teach toward 60's through modern pop and rock music and I use methods drawn from Suzuki method and G4 methods, using rhythm and sound quality and guides for making music.
