Review for Tom H.
Tom was my very first classical guitar teacher, and a wonderful one! I began taking lessons as an adult but was very much a novice. I had limited knowledge of music theory or proper fingering techniques, and I got very ‘anxious' when it came to performing. I really needed a teacher who was not just knowledgeable but also patient and kind. Tom proved to be all that. I felt comfortable right away and looked forward to my lessons each week. I learned so much in the three years I studied with Tom. In addition to classical music, Tom also introduced me to flamenco which I will always be thankful for. In short, lessons with Tom were focused and fun. He has a great personality and because of the training and encouragement I received I am still playing and enjoying my classical guitar today. Review of Tom H.
I was a beginning classical guitar student with Tom. When I started with him, he evaluated the level I was playing at and found materials, both "drills" and individual pieces of repertoire, that were not beyond my abilities and did not frustrate me. The only reason I stopped taking lessons with him was a shoulder injury and subsequent surgery. John Rabinbowitz wrote on Sat, 21 Jan 2017
