Brad S

Brad is a professional musician and current bassist for the multi platinum selling Rock band Saliva. He was born and raised in Jacksonville, Fl where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Florida. It was in Jacksonville that he started out playing in local bands and recording with local producers. He got his big break when he got the phone call from long time friend Fred Durst to audition for the then unknown band Puddle of Mudd. Although he did not make it in the band, he co-wrote the explosive hit single “Control” on the band’s debut album “Come Clean,” which went on to sell over 5 million copies worldwide. This led Brad to landing a publishing deal with EMI in 2001 (now SonyATV) and to a writing session with an unknown artist being developed by Atlantic records by the name of Brent Smith…Brent and Brad went on to form Shinedown in 2001. Brad collaborated on songs, performed live and in the studio with Shinedown for the next 6 years on the albums “Leave a Whisper” and “Us and Them” and the live DVD “Live from the Inside.”. He co-wrote a number of songs during his time with the band…namely the crossover hit “I dare you” which received airplay at Mainstream, Active, and Modern rock stations as well as Pop, AC, hot AC and AAA.  Shinedown’s first two albums have sold over 2 times platinum worldwide and produced a number of hits. Brad and the band parted ways in 2007 and Brad was asked to join the multiplatinum rock band FUEL by Brett Scallions in 2010. Brad toured for the next 5 years with FUEL , co-wrote and recorded a new record with the band. The new album titled “Puppet Strings” was released in March of 2014 on Megaforce records/Sony Red. FUEL toured in support of this record over the next year and a half. Brad and the band parted ways in the Summer of 2015 and Brad transitioned right into playing with Saliva. He had already been touring with Saliva in the Spring of 2015 while FUEL was off the road and was subsequently asked to join the band. He has been touring with the band for most of 2015 and all of 2016. Saliva released “Love, Lies and Therapy” in June of 2016 on UMG and has been touring in support of the record ever since. Brad is a passionate performer onstage and in the studio. He has influenced many players and is respected by his peers.
