I was born and raised in El Paso, TX. I have always been amused by the sounds of music but more than anything the sound of guitar. As a young teen I tried to teach myself by checking out books in a library but I had no success until I started high school and I actually had a guitar class.
Francisco H has over 20 years of music experience in the El Paso area.
Francisco H is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons .Formal Education:
I was taught classical guitar at Bowie High in El Paso, TX from 1996-2000. I met many local musicians one called Stefan Shcyga who taught me the art of World Music. I got more into Flamenco after that. There was a PIC program in 1997 that gave High School students the chance to teach Elementary students how to play guitar and that's when I realized this is something I wanted to do.
Private Education:
Guitar Teacher Ricardo Barrigan from Bowie High School Flamenco Teach Stefan Schyga from Univeristy of Texas at El Paso.
Performing Experience:
I first performed with the High School Mariachi from 1997-2000, I was given the role of Mariachi President for 2 years in a row plus won a Best Guitarist Award at the School's talent show. The band was created in 1997 performing material to that of the world famous Gipsy Kings and we have been performing ever since under the Band name: Sangre Gitana. We have performed at many local restaurants around town as well as big city venues.
Experience Teaching:
I have been teaching many students since 2001 as a private teacher. I currently have 2 students and 3 more potentials. All ranging from 7yrs old and up.
