Taught 28 years in public school. I recently spent the last 4 years as a teacher and administrator at a music school in northern New Jersey. I possess a Bachelor's and two masters degrees in Music. I also have obtained a PhD in Education with a concentration on music. I have extensive experience teaching inner-city children. I have published 2 books in the field of music education. While teaching music in public school, I was the chairman for the music curriculum committee for the Fine and Performing Arts. I was the recipient of numerous grants and also worked closely with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra writing lesson plans linked to the music performed by the orchestra which was then published by the state of New Jersey. I received the Governor's Outstanding Teacher Recognition Award and the Arts Genesis State Grant. I was the guest conductor for the All City Orchestra for 3 years.
