A drummer who can sing as well! My name is Chris and I have been playing drums for about 13 years, and been drumming in bands for about 5 of those years. Drumming has been a part of my life since I was a toddler, which included setting up pots and pans on the kitchen floor and used spoons as drum sticks. I am a vocalist as well, but drumming is my go-to instrument.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner -
You will learn your drums inside and out, learn how to tune, learn how to efficiently setup and break down your set, and learn how basic fundamentals of playing and writing drums beats
Formal Education:
My musical education has all been self taught! Drumming felt natural and was able to pick it up fairly quickly. I would study songs that I would love listening to by breaking down all the individual parts. The rest of my knowledge came from years of practicing, and there is still more to be learned... there is always something new to learn!
Private Education:
Only private education I received was in guitar, and that lasted about 4 months!
Performing Experience:
For the last 4 years, I have been performing at least twice a month, sometimes more! I became the vocalist for a death/thrash/groove band Unconscious Minds, which just recently broke up. I then became the drummer for the celtic punk band Whiskey and the Barrels in 2015. We are now playing anywhere between 45 minutes to 4 hour sets, ranging from National acts to bar nights with just us. I started a funk thrash band The Italian Stallion Battalion within last year which I am the vocalist and drummer for. We played 2 shows so far and I know more will come. Currently, I am a fill-in drummer for the hardcore group No Year, hoping to make this permanent.
Experience Teaching:
I have taught swim lessons from ages: infant/toddler to adult for 6 summers with the City of Phoenix Aquatics. I was also the dive coach for a year at the pool I worked at as well.
