I have been singing since age 8, when I started playing guitar and singing John Denver/The Beatles/Glen Cambell/Simon&Garfunkel and all of the other singer/songwriters in the 70's. In high school I decided to get serious and take voice lessons, because I wanted to reach the high notes in the upper register without falsetto, and develop a full voice 4 octave range.
Since then, I have been performing live in clubs covering everything from "The Doors" to "Journey" to "Queensryche", and recording original music in the studio. My original album in the Pop/Rock mainstream genre, in which 2 songs were recorded with The Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, was released to radio stations and acheived airplay on 70+ stations across the country and internationally. In the process, I've travelled and lived all over the country for the past 20 years. I've written some songs for other artists as well that have brought in some royalty payments. It's nice to make money with your music, but the single most important aspect is passion. You've gotta' love it! The more you love it, the more fulfilling it actually is.
