Fiona Pa

I was born in Scotland and started playing the violin when I was 7 yrs old.  I was soon marked as "gifted" and made my way through grades 1-8, competed in local events, led the Perth Youth Orchestra and was a soloist with their accompaniment. I was a member of the Edinburgh Youth Orchestra touring with them to Germany.  I then attended Wells Cathedral Music School in Somerset, England.  While there I performed with a string quartet giving concerts around the county and the school chamber orchestra which also performed in various places.  One performance was in the Purcell Room where we played a couple of Brandenburg concertos.  The school orchestra also performed Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto and I led the orchestra (this was a royal performance for the Queen Mother who was a patron).  I then went on to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where I studied for one year before going out to experience the world.  And although they kept a place open for me I never went back.  The years passed and I married, had a family and engaged in the "healing arts".  I relocated to Arizona 6 years ago and remarried.  I began to get my violin out more and more often and then started playing with a few guitar players etc.  My love and ability in music is still extremely strong and my intention is to incorporate this more and more into my life.  I am great with people and a fantastic teacher.  I probably should have done this years ago but it seemed too "boring" - now, at a much older age it seems interesting and different (how things change as we mature!)  I would love the opportunity to work with people of all ages passing on the knowledge, training and experience that I have gained over the years.
