Hello! I am Stephen and I am glad to help further new musicians passion for music! I am very passionate about music and teaching others about it as well! I have played around Charlotte with very talented jazz groups at high end resturants and venues. I have played drums for over 10 years. I am 19 years old. At age 15 Berklee College Of Music gave me a scholarship opportunity to study with them for 5 weeks and I played and learned with some of the top musicians in the world. I also have a jazz trio called gruvin fusion and I will put our music link in the youtube video section. I have not been teaching for long, however I love teaching and enjoy it very much!

Excellent Teacher
I've been playing drums off and on for the past few years. I recently joined a band and felt it was time to become a better musician so I took several lessons from Stephen. We went over basic andcomplex rudiments, polyrhythms, as well as grooves which helped my playing significantly. I saw improvement in my playing within the first couple of lessons. Great teacher!
I am a full-time drum set performer and instructor, with an honored B.A. from Berklee College of Music '01. Stephen studied with me for about 7 years. During that time, he became one of my more accomplished students. He played a wide variety of gigs throughout high school and became proficient enough that I was able to use him as a sub on my professional gigs. He also subbed as a teacher and has even taken on overflow when my schedule is full. I have gotten nothing but positive feedback in these situations. Stephen is great working with kids. My son Colin has been taking lessons from Stephen for the past couple of months. Stephen has been working with Colin on both quints and his full set.
