Josh has attended Stetson University under Percussionist Dr. Marja Kerney for his undergraduate and UCF for his masters under the direction of Dr. Thad Anderson, Kirk Gay, and Jeffrey Moore. Josh combines 12 years of playing experience around Central Florida with heavy study in music theory, drumset, composition, and orchestral percussion. My teaching style promotes giving students the basic tools they need to succeed as well as pushing the bounds of their creativity, rather than sticking to Book lesson plans.

We are going to address basic technique as well as lay out a set of warmups and basic rudiments to build upon. No matter what level, a lesson begins with the building of good musical habits.
