Hello, my name is Jon. I'm currently 20 years and am a student at Middle Tennessee State University. I am a guitarist of almost 11 years now and I love all styles of music. My favorite genres range from the 50's all the way up to modern music today. The music I generally prefer to play ranges from progressive rock/metal and instrumental music to blues and pop. I'm very easy to work with and a great instructor, in which i will take my time to teach what you want to learn, and have fun doing it at the same time.
My current setup includes a Carvin California Carved-Top custom 6-string guitar, played through a Vox Valvestate 200 amplifier. I also have a Yamaha Compass Acoustic and a Vintage Electra guitar, as well as a Carvin Nomad-12 tube amp.

I have had 2 years of college experience at MTSU in Murfreesboro Tennessee and 1 year of college experience at Motlow State Community College, located in Tullahoma Tennessee. My current major is animal biology.
Private Education:
I graduated from St. Andrews Sewanee School, located in Sewanee Tennessee, in 2008 with a high school diploma.
Performing Experience:
Of all 4 years in highschool, I played as the lead guitarist in school orchestra and jazz ensemble. We had 2 major school concerts a year, plus many smaller performances. I also participated in community music events, often playing live in bars, events, and social settings with my mother. I've also played in a few bands throughout the last 6 years.
Experience Teaching:
I have taught on the side a little through my highschool and college careers, giving personal lessons to friends and family.
